The following articles are not intended as a comprehensive group of lessons; they are intended for you to understand that you need to be familiar with all of this in your transition from beginning to intermediate levels of
proficiency on the bass. You should at least have had some exposure to these elements and techniques by the time you begin to move into intermediate level ability.
Some of it may see obvious, some pointless - to you. But remember this: these lessons were assembled by professional musicians who understand the knowledge you require if you are looking to be considered no longer a
beginner. Intermediate players should know more, be able to do more, and seek to build upon the fundamental things covered in these articles. You need not be great at any one of them - though you should be able
to play them properly. But, you need to have a basic understanding of these things and, where applicable, know how to execute them (even if only poorly so). The more of them you know, the stronger the foundation upon
which you can build.
This information, these lessons, outline that foundation. You will build upon this as you strive to improve as a player, even to being a professional musician.
